27th September 2021 Windsurfing: Llanfairfechan Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F6 then F7 Surf / Sea State: Big chop Air Temperature: 16 Sea Temperature: 17.6 Weather: Sun Max Speed: 25 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 24.3 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Almost an hour maxed on 6m in big chop and bit gusty so hard work, but good fun banging through sea. Got thrown several times and bailed a few gybes so down to 78l and 4.7m as wind increased for another half hour and too tired to wait until sea cleaned up after high. A smaller fin on 78l would have been easier to control. Watch says average heart rate was 114bpm 146max on 6m and 118 149max on 4.7m, though smaller gear felt less hard work. |
